Carbon steel / Low-alloy steel:Mineral oil-based or semi-synthetic types are preferred, containing chlorinated paraffin / sulfurized lard. They feature low friction coefficient and help form a stable lubricating film on dies, suitable for blanking and shallow drawing.
Stainless steel / High-temperature alloys:High EP synthetic oils are required, with additives such as thiophosphates, to prevent work hardening and cracking. Suitable for deep drawing and ironing.
Aluminum alloy / Non-ferrous metals:Water-soluble or low-viscosity synthetic oils are recommended, with surface tension controlled below 30 mN/m to avoid corrosion and white spots. Suitable for deep drawing and rolling.
Galvanized / Galvalume sheets:Chlorine-free formulations are used to prevent white rust. Semi-synthetic or fully synthetic water-based oils are recommended for balanced lubrication and rust prevention.
Process Matching
Blanking / shallow stamping:Mineral oil-based or volatile oils, low cost and good cleanability.
Deep drawing / stretching:Synthetic or semi-synthetic oils with high extreme pressure performance, to prevent tearing and die wear.
Precision stamping / electronic components:Volatile oils, no cleaning required, suitable for automated assembly.
